Isabella's Garden from Lavender & Lace is a counted cross stitch chart for stitchers who prefer to use their own fabric and thread. This chart's designer, Marilyn Leavitt-Imblum says "This design is a companion piece to Emma's Garden and I am calling it Isabella's Garden. Both are my grand-daughters. This new one has a girl in a garden blowing bubbles of hope. It's sweet and quick to stitch. As the cold winter days approach, thoughts of hope and the promise of color will give stitchers visions of spring. The bubbles are the sign of hope, and they fall softly onto the flowers. Her dress has easy to change colours". Marilyn suggests that this design is stitched over two threads on hand dyed 32 count linen - the stitch count is 138 x 154. For a more economical fabric choice we would suggest a quarter metre piece of Natural 32 count Belfast Linen, or a quarter metre piece of Clay 16 count Aida fabric, both available in the fabric department of this site.
