Evangeline is a counted cross stitch chart from Lavender & Lace for cross stitchers who prefer to use their own fabric and threads. This chart's designer, Marilyn Leavitt-Imblum says "Evangeline was inspired by the survivors of Hurricane Katrina. Their perseverance in the face of extreme hardship is symbolized by this beautiful Cajun woman standing in defiance of the gathering wind. Her over one face is optional (an over two face is provided as well). Needlepaints are recommended, but DMC alternatives are also indicated. Four shades of Rainbow Gallery's Splendor Silk Designer Collection available on one card are used...Evangeline will mean many things to many stitchers as each interprets her with their own perspective."
